Andrea has been with Active for the past 2 years based at the Highbrook clinic. Andrea is from Canada where she worked as a Kinesiologist and elite level ski coach. She completed her Physiotherapy degree at AUT in 2007. She completed her postgraduate diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through AUT. Andrea has a broad range of experience treating general musculoskeletal injuries in all age groups and has special interests in sports injuries, adolescent injuries and osteoarthritis with a particular interest in knee and lower limb. In addition to clinic based treatment, Andrea will be teaching pilates and doing exercise based vocational rehabilitation programmes. Kirsten is a highly experience musculoskeletal physiotherapist who holds a Masters Degree in Sports Physiotherapy. Following graduation Kirsten worked for Active Plus in both Howick and Highbrook before moving to Dunedin to complete her studies. Rachel graduated from University College Dublin in 2016 with an honours degree in BSc Physiotherapy. She has since worked in the UK and Ireland, as well as here in New Zealand. Rachel has experience in both private musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and in the public sector working in an acute hospital setting. She has a particular interest in sports rehabilitation and injury prevention, having worked with rugby teams both here and back in Ireland. Rachel is passionate about Pilates and brings her knowledge of Pilates into her treatment programmes with her patients. Her goals are to complete her dry needling course this year. Dominique joined the Active Plus team in January 2017. She is passionate about acute care and enjoys working with all aspects of musculoskeletal physiotherapy.She has over 13 years experience and she is particularly skilled in orthopedics and post operative care. She has recently moved to New Zealand with her husband and two young children. Louise joined the Active Plus Howick team in February 2019 having relocated to Auckland from Ireland. Louise completed her BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy in University College Dublin, qualifying in 2017. Since qualifying Louise has completed rotations in Palliative Care, Respiratory Physiotherapy, Stroke Rehabilitation and Musculoskeletal Outpatients in University Teaching Hospitals in Ireland. Louise's interests are exercise-based rehabilitation and manual therapy for acute injuries as well as gym based rehabilitation for injury prevention and post injury/surgery.
In her spare time Louise enjoys keeping fit and is currently a member of the Auckland Celtics GAA football team – a home away from home!

Vicky joined the Active Plus team in January 2019 after graduating from AUT University in 2018. She completed an 8 week physiotherapy placement at Active Plus as a student, along with placements at Middlemore Hospital in Acute Orthopaedics and Community Stroke Rehab. Vicky has 16 years of dance experience and is a part-time ballet and contemporary dance teacher. She also has experience in mat and reformer pilates and enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family.
