Michelle qualified as a physiotherapist in 1994. In 1999 she completed a postgraduate qualification in manual therapy and manipulation, and in 2000 her interest in combining her manual and rehabilitation skills with the use of acupuncture began. Initially Michelle trained in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, then in Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling. More recently Michelle has been awarded a distinction at Masters Level in Physiotherapy, endorsed in acupuncture, as well as a distinction at Post-Graduate Diploma Level.
Michelle thrives on challenges and specializes in complex injuries, chronic pain, and also has a special interest in shoulders. Her ability to analyse and fully comprehend complex painful conditions is one of Michelle’s strengths, which then allows her to formulate a complete package of rehabilitative needs. Michelle never only treats the presenting symptoms but will endeavour to put right any of the contributing factors to the pain or disorder.
Outside of work Michelle is a keen runner having competed in several marathons, and her ambition is to one day run the 60km Kepler Challenge.
