Education and Experience Sara graduated from AUT in 2008 with her Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy). Since then, she has worked in a wide range of different physiotherapy settings, including establishing and running her own busy Pilates and Physiotherapy practice for 4 years in Auckland CBD. She also has extensive experience working in orthopaedic hospitals and musculoskeletal clinics. In more recent years, Sara was asked to help implement and supervise the student physiotherapy clinic at AUT’s brand new medical facility NorthMed on the North Shore in Auckland. There, she developed their Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation program for people recovering from lung and heart conditions. She also was involved a balance and strengthening program for older adults within the University, as well as a hydrotherapy exercise classes onsite. Professional Views and Special Interests Sara has a passion for learning and has since completed many courses to add to her skillset, which include her training to become a PINC practitioner, working with women recovering from cancer. Sara is part of the Older Adults and Occupational Health Special Interest groups and it currently studying towards her Post-Graduate Diploma in Health Science (Rehabilitation). Overall, Sara has a special interest in all things do with rehabilitation and getting people back to living their life to the full. Outside of Work When Sara is not at work or with her young family, you can find her at the beach, gym, running or just anywhere else outdoors! Education and Experience Caitlyn graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2014. Since 2015 she has worked in a private practice on the outskirts of Hamilton. Caitlyn has experience with dry needling and has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in October 2017. These include: Dry needling plus and Bike setup (2012), as well as a Level 1 CrossFit coaches accreditation completed in Manchester, England (2013). Joel expanded his skill set in 2016 and completed his NeuroLink training in Melbourne and Sydney. With a wide range of clinical roles held in both NZ and Australia, Joel has a passion for musckuloskeletal physio. He spent a year working in vocational rehabilitation, helping clients return to work following surgery, as well as looking after athletes and sports teams. For several years now Joel has had an active involvement in CrossFit. He has completed his coaching certification to better understand the sport but enjoys working in the box as a physio, helping athletes with their mobility and power. Some of the clients Joel has worked with include: Runners Triathletes and Cyclists Cycling teams CrossFitters Rugby teams and Rowers Professional views and special interests With a passion for people Joel enjoys helping individuals reach their goals.
