Stephen has special interest in treating back injuries and bio-mechanics – the way the body moves. His highlight in physiotherapy is seeing a client walk out functioning better than when they came in. He enjoys the fact that at Advance he can take the time to treat each client uniquely and then educate them on how to maintain the improvement they have made after their treatment is finished. Rachael is one of our fantastic Senior Therapists and has worked in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy ever since she graduated from AUT in 2011.
She has worked with rugby teams, in post-operative orthopaedic and cardio-respiratory settings and in private clinics both here in New Zealand and the UK.
Rachael is passionate about what she does and loves nothing more than to see her clients achieve their full potential and beyond. She enjoys the challenge of figuring out why someone has injured themselves and correcting these imbalances to ensure the injury does not reoccur. She uses a combination of good education, hands on techniques, exercise prescription and is also skilled in dry needling.
Rachael is a health and fitness fanatic herself, spending any spare time at the gym or running the Hakiramata’s and she also enjoys travelling.
