Sophie is a women’s health physiotherapist from London with over a decade of industry experience. Since qualifying from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, she has spent her career developing skills through experience in both the public and private sectors.
As a specialist in women’s health and MSK (muscles and bones), her skill set is ideally suited to the treatment of pregnancy-related back and pelvic pain, postnatal issues like abdominal separation and pelvic floor problems of all ages.
Sophie is an advocate for the use of Pilates as a tool for rehabilitation. Following her training in 2009 with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute, Sophie trained with leading experts in London and has developed an expertise for helping new mothers regain their strength and confidence.
She has found Pilates to be an invaluable adjunct to treatment, particularly in women’s health, and last year became certified through Polestar Pilates UK. She teaches Pilates on the mat, reformer, trapeze table, wunda chair and ladder barrel.
Utilising this combination of clinical skills Sophie has helped hundreds of women through their rehabilitation journey and is focused on minimising the stress and pain that can accompany pregnancy and menopause.
