Laura graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy. She has many years working in various rehabilitation settings in Scotland, Ireland and Australia.
Laura is passionate about Pilates and integrates this into her physiotherapy practice to enhance strength, improve movement patterns and posture while preventing injury reoccurrence. Laura is an expert in both mat and reformer Pilates. She feels Pilates is a form of exercise which will benefit everyone, from those who are new or returning to exercise through to high-level athletes. Having worked in both orthopedic and neuro-rehabilitation settings, Laura is able to transfer her vast range of skills, including dry needling, into her musculoskeletal practice. Laura strongly believes in the importance of rehabilitation and strengthening to allow people to return to their individual functional level and live a strong, healthy and active lifestyle.
¿Laura really enjoyed the opportunity she had to work in remote communities in top end Australia providing physiotherapy services to the indigenous population prior to coming to Auckland. Outside of physiotherapy, Laura enjoys exploring new places, meeting new people from around the world, keeping fit and cake decorating.
