Mr Joel Bell

Mr Joel Bell

Podiatrist

My interest in Podiatry began 10 years ago when I was treated by a sports podiatrist in Christchurch for shin splints that developed from rigorous basketball training and distance running. I’ve always had an interest in the human body and how it performs and prior to studying my Bachelor of Health Science in Podiatry I completed a Certificate in Gym Instructing and Personal Training through the New Zealand College of Fitness. I also spent three years working within the sports shoe industry and have a particular interest in running shoes and how they affect my patients. I still keep up to date with the latest in footwear technology and have been an instore podiatrist at Shoe Clinic for the last year. I enjoy practising all aspects of podiatry and have worked in several rural clinics around New Zealand where I treated athletes’ for sports injuries, prescribed and manufactured orthotics, assessed high-risk diabetic patients, treated a wide range of skin and nail conditions, and performed minor surgeries on plantar warts and ingrown toenails. I’m excited to be back in Auckland and treating musculoskeletal injuries with the team at Auckland Sports Podiatry. » View details

Ms Preeti Kaur

Ms Preeti Kaur

Podiatrist

Preeti’s love for Podiatry started after a realisation of how essential your feet and legs are for everyday life. Our feet and lower limbs are often neglected with our busy and demanding lifestyles and it’s not until things go wrong that we realise there importance. With this fascination, she decided to take up Podiatry as her chosen career and has never looked back since. Her podiatry interests lie in biomechanics (the movement of the lower limb and foot) and post-operative foot care. She has spent time in with orthopaedic surgeons observing lower limb, foot and ankle surgeries. This has aided her in the management of post-operative orthotic therapy. Her driving practice principal is to find the cause of your problem and not just treat the pain. This principal ensures treatment in the short and long term is successful. She holds a keen interest in hockey, a sport she has played for many years. In her spare time, you’ll find her with her dog exploring new walking areas, indulging in her love for footwear and travelling. English is her first language but she is also fluent in Hindi and Punjabi. » View details

Mr Alec Solomons

Mr Alec Solomons

Podiatrist

My love for Podiatry lies within the notion of keeping people on their feet. I have had an extensive career playing football, playing for NZ under 20’s and 23’s. I have experienced many lower limb injuries through football and so personally know what it’s like to experience foot and ankle pain. I enjoy all aspects of Podiatry and have a real passion for Sports Medicine and Biomechanics. I firmly believe that happy feet relate to a better quality of living. I am currently completing my Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation at AUT and am committed to being the best Sports Podiatrist I can be. » View details

Mr Cameron Palmer

Mr Cameron Palmer

Podiatrist

Cameron’s passion for podiatry lies in the philosophy of keeping people on their feet so that they can look after the rest of the body and their mind. He is one of only three podiatrists in Auckland who have a post graduate sports medicine diploma. He firmly believes in a holistic approach, “the foot can affect the upper body and the upper body can affect the foot”. He prides himself in isolating the cause of your injury and tailoring a specific treatment plan to suit. Modalities include the following, footwear advice, orthotic therapy, stretching, strengthening, strapping/bracing, gait technique changes and activity modification. As with any health practitioner, he is committed and excited with the ongoing learning aspect of this ever changing field. Cameron has had an active life playing rugby, cricket and running half marathons, through his own injuries he can empathise with his patients. » View details
