Alex graduated from the University of East Anglia, UK and initially gained experience in both neurological rehabilitation and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Her own participation in various sports prompted an interest in biomechanics and sports rehabilitation. Alex spent time working with triathlon, cycling and kayaking clubs in the UK where a big focus was sports specific strengthening and injury prevention. Alex moved to Queenstown in 2015 to make the most of the great outdoors and all that the area has to offer. Today she loves the active population here and thrives on getting the community back to their activities, whatever level they are. Over the last few years, she has attended specialist courses for shoulder rehabilitation and enjoys working with patients to improve treatment and outcomes and for clients with shoulder injuries.
She has been heavily involved in the adventure racing scene and when not working you will generally find her running or biking in the hills or kayaking the local lakes and rivers.
