Danielle graduated from Otago University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (with credit) in 1997 and she has 18 years of hand therapy experience. She first became interested in hand therapy after completing a junior rotation in hand therapy at Waikato Hospital in 1999 and has worked in the specialty ever since. Danielle has worked in various hand trauma centres throughout the UK gaining valuable and varied experience rehabilitating patients with complex hand trauma. Prior to moving to Tauranga to set up Bay Hand Therapy, she worked in a private hand therapy practice in Auckland. Danielle enjoys all aspects of hand rehabilitation, but has a particular interest in nerve recovery following repair, wrist injuries and complex finger fractures. View details »
Ms Kat Hay
Hand Therapist
Kat graduated from Otago University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy after completing a Bachelor of Physical Education in 2001. Kat spent most of her early career working in private practice physiotherapy, before completed her hand therapy training through AUT in 2016. She has since completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Ergonomics and Human Factors. Kat’s areas of interest are acute fracture management, sporting injuries and occupational health.
