Susan graduated as a physiotherapist from AUT in 1997. She spent the first 4 yrs of her career in hospital specialising in acute inpatient paediatrics including paediatric hand therapy, then worked as a volunteer in Cambodia and then West Auckland as a paediatric physiotherapist. While time was taken out to have a family, she began post graduate physiotherapy study at AUT and returned to the work force at a private hand therapy clinic. She received her Master’s in Health Practice in 2018 which included Hand therapy certification. Susan started working at Bay Hand Therapy in 2018 after returning to Tauranga and now has 8 years of hand therapy experience. Danielle graduated from Otago University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (with credit) in 1997 and she has 18 years of hand therapy experience. She first became interested in hand therapy after completing a junior rotation in hand therapy at Waikato Hospital in 1999 and has worked in the specialty ever since.
Danielle has worked in various hand trauma centres throughout the UK gaining valuable and varied experience rehabilitating patients with complex hand trauma. Prior to moving to Tauranga to set up Bay Hand Therapy, she worked in a private hand therapy practice in Auckland.
Danielle enjoys all aspects of hand rehabilitation, but has a particular interest in nerve recovery following repair, wrist injuries and complex finger fractures. View details »
