After more than 25 years working as a physiotherapist, I am proud to say that I am still passionate about my job! I advocate for finding balance in life and promote getting the basics right for healing and wellbeing; sleep, nutrition, hydration, breathing, exercise and reducing stress. I am passionate about improving quality of life for clients, aiming to get them back to pre-injury function or even better than before.
I have experience working in NZ and the UK, in sports physiotherapy, paediatrics, adolescent health and general musculoskeletal treatment and rehabilitation. I am a qualified Bradcliff breathing practitioner and knowledgeable in long covid recovery. I have a diploma in sports medicine, dry needling proficiency certificate and first aid trained.
I live locally with my husband and our 2 teenagers. I am at my happiest in nature, hiking, running and wild swimming. I love travelling to new places with my trusty back pack on. Quiz night with our neighbours is a highlight of my week.

I graduated with a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy in the UK in 1992 and worked in the field of orthopaedic rehabilitation and musculoskeletal outpatients within the NHS for nearly a decade.
My husband and I came to Christchurch in 2002 supposedly just for a one year working holiday but we fell in love with the Kiwi lifestyle and lapped up all the opportunities for adventure that the South Island provides.
As well as raising a family, running a business and competing in multisport races for many years, I have gained experience in a variety of private clinics in the city. My areas of physiotherapy interest include post-operative rehabilitation and those niggling sporting injuries that have become chronic.
With all my clients I try to think outside the square and address underlying muscle imbalance issues in other parts of the body. I believe in empowering clients with knowledge about their condition and try to give them useful skills for ongoing self-management.
I am a member of Physiotherapy New Zealand and have post graduate training in manipulative physiotherapy as well as acupuncture for musculoskeletal conditions. View details »
