I’m a North Island born Kiwi from the Coromandel, who migrated South in 2008, and am proud to call Dunedin home. I started the dream career almost 25 years ago as an Outdoor Instructor (Sea Kayak Guide), but that came crashing down when I injured my back surfing and sailing round the South Pacific. The silver lining was my back injury set me on a course of discovery, and a passion for understanding and treating back pain more effectively to heal my own back. Now, with over 20 years clinical experience in the treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries, I still have a particular interest in chronic lower back pain. Trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I’m an Acupuncturist who’s immersed himself in the intricacies of musculoskeletal anatomy, Orthopaedics, Dry Needling and Neuroscience. This fusion of Eastern wisdom and Western science serves as the cornerstone of my practice, guiding me in addressing both root causes and symptoms of pain. I’m a huge fan of the effectiveness of the acupuncture needle. It’s effectiveness in pain relief, increasing range of motion, and it’s ability to stimulate the body’s natural healing response. I find purpose and passion in helping clients find immediate relief, while also enhancing overall health and well-being for their future. Other passions I have in life are healthy movement, adventure, surfing, Jesus, my beautiful wife, and most of the time our 3 beautiful kids.
