Mr Kieran Turrell

Mr Kieran Turrell

Physiotherapist

Kieran joined us at Edge Physio in early 2018 after graduating from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Kieran reckons he brings some youth to the Edge team. We aren't sure what that means about the rest of us! He has a strong interest in back pain, overuse injuries along with sport and work related conditions. Despite growing up overseas for a period of time Kieran did a large chunk of his school years in Blenheim so considers himself a local. He is happy to be back in a warmer climate after spending several years in Dunedin as a scarfie. Like all of our team at Edge Physio Kieran is passionate about movement and sport and is enjoying being back amongst the Marlborough sporting community. View details »

Mr Alex Barnsley

Mr Alex Barnsley

Physiotherapist

Alex graduated from the University of Otago in 2019. He hails from the winterless North and after 5 chilly years in Dunedin he wanted to relocate to a warmer, sunnier environment. What better place to choose than Blenheim as the next step on his Physiotherapy journey. Being new to the area Alex is all ears for learning about the hidden gems the Marlborough region has to offer. A self-professed sports nut Alex will have a crack at just about anything. Rugby is his current sport of choice and he has signed to play for the Renwick Rugby Club. Being a sportsman he knows from experience how easily an injury can stop you enjoying the outdoors, social occasions and day to day life. Alex is passionate about getting people back on track and back doing the things they love. View details »

Mr John Chamberlain

Mr John Chamberlain

Physiotherapist

John graduated from the Otago School of Physiotherapy in 1975 and established Marlborough’s first private Physiotherapy practice in 1978. To say John is experienced would be an understatement. If you’ve been active and injured yourself over the last 35 years there is high chance he knows your face. John is a highly respected Physiotherapist and uses all of his knowledge, experience and practical skills to ensure you are back at your best as soon as possible. After selling his practice to Richie and Emma in 2015 John has found more time to enjoy the outdoors. He enjoys running and hiking the mountains and manages to pick up the occasional injury himself along the way, ‘So as to understand injury from a patient’s perspective’ he tells us. John is a stalwart of the Marlborough Rugby community having spent almost 20 years as Physiotherapist to the Marlborough and Tasman Red Devils rugby teams. View details »
