Thomas recently graduated from the University of Otago where he experienced a range of different physiotherapy placements. These included spending time in the hospital, acute musculoskeletal clinics as well as working within neurorehabilitation.
During Thomas’s studies he did a research project on Illness perceptions, and how they impact recovery from a concussion. He also completed a summer studentship on Tikanga Maori and how well it is observed during Autopsy procedures within New Zealand.
Thomas’s interested in sports physiotherapy, having a desire to work within high performance sport alongside athletes. Last year he worked with the Otago Development rugby team, as well as the Otago U18s. Thomas was also the sports physio for the University of Otago premier men’s hockey team. He really enjoys playing hockey, golf, cricket and gyming when he can.

Sharon has gained extensive professional experience since 2007 through her work as physiotherapist with international and national sporting sides. These include Northern Stars and Northern Mystics Netball, Basketball New Zealand, Samoa Rugby and Auckland Rugby 7s. She was also appointed the NZ Breakers Physiotherapist in 2019.
Her interests are in injury prevention, biomechanics, acupuncture, occupational health, breathing performance & rehabilitation.
Sharon also speaks Cantonese as a second language.

Nivia joins Physio Rehab Group with over 7 years experience, in both the public and private sectors. She has worked extensively in the hospital system in India, gaining experience across a wide range of Physiotherapy. She has a special interest in Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedic and Sports Physiotherapy and aspires to work with a national sports team.
