Lucia is a qualified physiotherapist and has experience with sports teams at local, provincial, and national levels. She has a strong interest in women’s rugby and is currently with Counties Manukau High Performance unit.
Lucia enjoys post-operative rehab and is passionate about exercise-based physiotherapy. She is working toward her post-graduate diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy where she has furthered her knowledge in chronic pain management and movement biomechanics. Lucia offers dry needling treatment and gym-based exercise programs. She has two years’ experience working with Parkinson’s Disease participants in weekly boxing and balance classes and has also worked in elderly rest home care. Shannon graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) from AUT Akoranga.
She has experience in acute and outpatient rehabilitation settings, paediatrics and musculoskeletal private practice. In her spare time, Shannon can be found running, gardening or in the dance studio.
