Mel has joined the Habit team after being a physiotherapist and research assistant to at a specialised clinic KneeCare for the past year.
Mel has an extensive background in exercise rehabilitation with a degree in physical education and a post graduate diploma in sports and exercise medicine, before qualifying as a physiotherapist.
Mel used to play rugby at a provincial level, however following a serious knee injury, she was forced to give up her rugby career and in turn had her rehabilitation through the KneeCare Programme. This gave her first-hand experiece which now guides her treatment for her patients. View details »

Nuala is one of our Senior Physiotherapists who completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at AUT in 2016, and is currently completing her Masters in Health Science.
Nuala is originally from Ireland, but has lived and worked here in Auckland since 2009. She brings a broad mix of experience to Shore Physio, Nuala has previously worked in stroke rehabilitation and care of the older adult at Counties Manukau Health. She has also worked extensively in chronic pain rehabilitation and spinal physiotherapy.
Nuala has a passion for helping people to self-manage their injuries and prevent recurrence of injuries in the longer term through exercise and rehabilitation.
Nuala is an avid rugby fan and a keen All Blacks supporter, unless they are playing Ireland, where her Irish roots come back to the fore and she can be found donning her green jersey.
She enjoys playing Gaelic Football and Camogie, and has recently taken up Road Cycling and Triathlons. View details »

Karen is one of our Senior Physiotherapists, she has been working at KneeCare the past year after returning from the birth of her twin boys.
Karen has over 10 years experience of musculoskeletal experience, 5 of which were working at and managing a Physiotherapy and Pilates practice in Auckland. She has also worked in various medical clinics across London. As a result, she has experience in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal pathologies and sports injuries.
As a qualified PINC and STEEL Cancer Rehab Physiotherapist, Karen also bring with her a wealth of experience, empathy and knowledge in regards to treating patients going through or just completing their treatment. View details »
