BHSc (Physio) Alysha made the move up from Hamilton to be closer to all the beaches and to learn from the highly experienced team here at Medplus after her graduation. Alysha likes to take a holistic approach with patients to help them return to activity and prevent further injuries. Her interests lie in exercised based rehabilitation and musculoskeletal and sports physio. Outside of work she likes to have an active healthy lifestyle, when not working or studying new cases, she loves running outdoors, playing netball and gym classes such as boxing and pilates. BHSc (Physio) Nico has a special interest in sports physiotherapy with an exercise based approach to rehabilitation. He has played Rugby, AFL and is a keen surf lifesaver and has a good knowledge of injuries surrounding these sports. Nico has recently travelled to Australia as a physio with the NZ Under18s AFL team. Nico is qualified and registered for dry needling. If you feel standard treatment (massage, mobilisation etc) have helped but not completely resolved pain or dysfunction, then why not ask Nico to try some dry needling. View details »

PG Dip Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (AUT); BSc (Physiotherapy) (UCD, Ireland); Member of PNZ and NZMPA Nuala is one of our Senior Physiotherapists who completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at AUT in 2016, and is currently completing her Masters in Health Science. Nuala is originally from Ireland, but has lived and worked here in Auckland since 2009. She brings a broad mix of experience to Shore Physio, Nuala has previously worked in stroke rehabilitation and care of the older adult at Counties Manukau Health. She has also worked extensively in chronic pain rehabilitation and spinal physiotherapy. Nuala has a passion for helping people to self-manage their injuries and prevent recurrence of injuries in the longer term through exercise and rehabilitation. Nuala is an avid rugby fan and a keen All Blacks supporter, unless they are playing Ireland, where her Irish roots come back to the fore and she can be found donning her green jersey. She enjoys playing Gaelic Football and Camogie, and has recently taken up Road Cycling and Triathlons. View details »
