Mya graduated from the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in 2023 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Her diverse placements reinforced the importance of patient’s health literacy, whereby educating the patient effectively about their diagnosis, treatment and support options is a core focus of Mya’s. Mya’s experience competing at a high-performance level in triathlons, swimming and athletics, is one of the main contributing factors for choosing physiotherapy as a career, but Mya also has a passion for helping people return to activities they love to do and remain active. Wayne qualified with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Postgraduate Certificate in Occupational Health Physiotherapy and Master in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy. He has a strong interest in rehabilitation for sports injuries, work-related musculoskeletal disorders, and post-operative rehabilitation. His clinical skills involve manual therapy, advanced dry needling, acupuncture, neurokinetic therapy, and exercise prescription. He also provides vocational rehabilitation to return injured worker to their pre-injury capacities through work task analysis, worksite assessment, workstation assessment and functional rehabilitation. He works in a holistic approach to find the root cause of the problem and is not just treating the symptoms. He can consult in English, Mandarin, and Malay language. Natalie originally hails from the West Coast and graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelors in Physiotherapy in 2018. She also has a post-graduate certificate in Occupational Physiotherapy, and experience in sideline rugby physiotherapy. After a 2.5 year stint working in the NHS in the United Kingdom, she has returned to Physiosouth. She is passionate about improving an individual's well-being and empowering them to feel confident in managing their health and meeting their goals. She also has a particular interest in ACL rehabilitation and return-to-work rehabilitation. She enjoys running, touch, rugby, netball and getting out and about in Canterbury's outdoors.
