Vicky, hailing from Hong Kong, specializes in sports, musculoskeletal, neurological, and lymphatic
physiotherapy. Her expertise includes Kinesio taping, manual musculoskeletal facilitation, Schroth
three-dimensional scoliosis therapy, McKenzie cervical and lumbar therapy, exercise prescription,
dry needling, biomechanics analysis and insole making. Over the years, Vicky has treated a
diverse range of patients across public hospitals, elderly homes, and her private clinic.
Vicky, a graduate of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, earned her Bachelor of Science in
Physiotherapy in 1997, followed by a Master of Science in Sport Physiotherapy in 2009. Her
journey in this field took her to becoming a Certified Kinesio Taping Instructor (CKTI) from Kinesio
Taping Association International, USA, in 2017. A year later, she was welcomed to the education
committee of the Kinesio Taping Association International (KTAI), where she actively shares her
insights and expertise. Vicky expanded her knowledge in Kinesio Taping by studying KT4 Sports
and Orthopaedics, KT4 Lymphatics respectively in later years. She was the first and only instructor
to conduct advanced and specialized taping courses in Hong Kong.
Beyond Kinesio taping, Vicky has honed her skills in other pursued physiotherapy techniques. She
has completed Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) training, originated from USA, up
to Level 4, focusing on muscle reeducation and neurological rehabilitation. She is also certified in
the McKenzie therapy, started from New Zealand, for mechanically reducing protruding spinal
discs, having trained in both cervical and lumbar spine treatment.
Vicky's expertise extends to three-dimensional Schroth scoliosis therapy, derived from Germany,
for which she obtained her certification in 2023. She is adept at using Schroth exercises to realign
the spine, ribs, and pelvis.
Furthermore, Vicky is qualified in dry needling, which she utilizes to address chronic soft tissue
adhesions and pain. She also received training from the International College of Biomechanics
(ICB), stemmed from Australia, enabling her to provide custom orthotic therapy and insole
prescriptions for patients with leg length discrepancies or foot arch issues.View details »
