Bridget is a highly experienced general and sports physiotherapist with a passion for restoring and enhancing health and wellness for people from all walks of life. Over the past 32 years, she has built a dynamic career spanning physiotherapy, health research, and education. Alongside her 25+ years of clinical experience, Bridget is also an accomplished researcher and published author. She completed leading-edge research on head and neck control in whiplash patients for her Master of Health Science degree in 2003 — an area that remains one of her special interests and clinical strengths.
Bridget has a particular expertise in treating whiplash injuries, as well as head and neck pain and dysfunction. Her career has also included five years with Les Mills International, where she held senior roles in Education and Research Management, applying research insights to the health, fitness, and corporate sectors.
Since returning to full-time physiotherapy in 2011, Bridget has been based in Mangawhai, where she enjoys helping her clients achieve lasting recovery and better quality of life through tailored, evidence-based care.
Bridget lives in Mangawhai with her husband and son, and stays active in the community as the coordinator and coach for Mahurangi Junior Hockey.

Vicki joined Mangawhai Physiotherapy in 2018 after spending 10 years living and working on Auckland’s North Shore. Since relocating, she has embraced the relaxed pace of Mangawhai life and loves spending time at the local beaches with her three children. Outside of work, Vicki enjoys running, walking her dog, and catching up with family and friends.
Before becoming a physiotherapist, Vicki represented New Zealand internationally in badminton, achieving the number one national ranking in women’s singles and doubles in 2014. She graduated from AUT in 2011 and has continued to build her expertise through further training, completing her Western Acupuncture certification in 2012, Reformer Pilates training in 2017, Women’s Health training in Australia in 2018, and becoming a Certified Mulligan Practitioner in 2019.
Vicki takes a holistic approach to treatment, with a special focus on Women’s Health, Pilates-based rehabilitation, sports injury management, and injury prevention. She is passionate about helping people of all ages return to the activities they love with confidence and strength. View details »
Amanda is a highly experienced hand therapist, bringing over 22 years of expertise to her role. Hand therapy is a specialised field focused on the evaluation and treatment of injuries affecting the upper limb — including the shoulder, arm, elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand — and requires advanced training and hands-on expertise. While Amanda has a strong passion for hand and upper limb rehabilitation, she is also highly skilled in managing a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries across the body.
Amanda is dedicated to helping her clients restore function, reduce pain, and return to the activities they enjoy. She takes a practical and supportive approach to treatment, ensuring each client receives individualised care suited to their needs.
Outside the clinic, Amanda leads a busy life helping her husband on the farm and enjoys spending time with their two children. As a family, they love fishing, farming, and playing sports, making the most of the great outdoors whenever they can. View details »
