Dhvanil’s journey into physiotherapy began with a deep passion for movement, exercise, and helping people reach their full potential. He completed his Bachelor of Science, with a major in anatomy and minor in Sport and Exercise in 2021, before earning his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Otago. With a good foundation in anatomy and rehabilitation, he is committed to delivering evidence-based, person-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs. In addition to physiotherapy, Dhvanil has a background in health and fitness. He obtained his Personal Training certification from the New Zealand Institute of Health and Fitness in 2017 and has since spent the last five years working as a gym instructor/trainer, including a CrossFit gym focusing on full-body functional movements. His expertise in the fitness industry enables him to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance, helping individuals recover from injuries while enhancing their strength and mobility. Dhvanil has also gained valuable hands-on experience as a sports medic, supporting junior colts, U85 club rugby teams, and the Wellington U16 development squad. Alec has spent his working life expanding his knowledge and refining his skill set in sports physiotherapy. He has a holistic outlook to healthcare using the most up to date research paired with real clinical experience to leave others inspired, fit and strong. After studying a Bachelor of Science majoring in physiology, Alec completed his physiotherapy degree from the University of Otago. Since then, he has worked in a variety of sports being exposed to and learning from top coaches, trainers, physiotherapists and sports physicians in New Zealand sport. Alec has worked at school, club, semi professional and professional level leaving him with a skill set to treat a wide range of injuries. More recently, he has joined the Wellington Hurricanes as an assistant Physiotherapist for the 2024 Super Rugby Season. He is also about to return to his role as the assistant Physiotherapist for the Wellington Lions.
