Dhvanil’s journey into physiotherapy began with a deep passion for movement, exercise, and helping people reach their full potential. He completed his Bachelor of Science, with a major in anatomy and minor in Sport and Exercise in 2021, before earning his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Otago. With a good foundation in anatomy and rehabilitation, he is committed to delivering evidence-based, person-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs. In addition to physiotherapy, Dhvanil has a background in health and fitness. He obtained his Personal Training certification from the New Zealand Institute of Health and Fitness in 2017 and has since spent the last five years working as a gym instructor/trainer, including a CrossFit gym focusing on full-body functional movements. His expertise in the fitness industry enables him to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance, helping individuals recover from injuries while enhancing their strength and mobility. Dhvanil has also gained valuable hands-on experience as a sports medic, supporting junior colts, U85 club rugby teams, and the Wellington U16 development squad. Marisa brings a strong background in high-performance sport to her work as a physiotherapist. She has competed in football at both national and international levels and currently plays professionally for the Wellington Phoenix. Having recently returned to elite competition following an ACL injury, Marisa has firsthand experience of the physical and mental demands of rehabilitation and long-term performance. She is passionate about integrating her experience in elite sport with evidence-based physiotherapy. Marisa completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at AUT in 2024 and has a strong interest in exercise-based rehabilitation, post-operative recovery, and strength and conditioning. Teresa developed a passion for Physiotherapy while watching her brother rehab through a spinal cord injury. Being able to be involved with his rehab in her teenage years helped her understand the demands and needs of rehabilitation. Teresa graduated from AUT in 2011 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy). From there, she has been involved in private practices around Wellington. Teresa has worked with amazing mentors and have worked closely with a wide range of sporting groups including rugby league, crossfitters and HIITers. She have a passion for strength and mobility training, biomechanics, post op rehab, ongoing upskilling, and building rapport.
