Jess graduated from AUT in 2023 with a BHSc (Physiotherapy). Following her studies, she began her career at Middlemore Hospital, working across the Orthopaedic wards and the Rehabilitation of Older Adults service. This experience gave her a strong foundation in post-operative care for total hip replacements (THR), total knee replacements (TKJ), and hip fractures and functional rehabilitation. She gained an insight into a more holistic care while supporting patients through complex recovery journeys. As a result of Jess’s time working in high-performance rehab, older people's health and her sporting background, she has found her interest in musculosketal physio.
Jess also has a background in high-performance fencing – as an athlete, coach and referee - which has given her a unique understanding of movement, discipline, and return-to-sport principles
