Carey is from the small town of Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape region of South Africa. She was lucky enough to grow up on a farm, still run by her family, which set her up for a love of nature and the outdoors. Her physio interests lie in the treatment of MSK conditions and sports injuries, with a special interest in the treatment of adolescent sporting injuries and the treatment of endurance athletes. She owned her own private practice for 14 years in South Africa, and worked with various school and University sports teams across a variety of sporting codes.
