Nivia has been working in NZ for over 5 years, with an additional 2 years of overseas experience. During this time, Nivia has worked with several sport teams including football, rugby league, touch rugby and sports tournaments, and also in a busy A & E clinical environment. Nivia is a trained Pilates instructor and runs some of our Karaka clinic classes. Nivia has a holistic approach and focusses her therapy on overall well-being, and loves bringing additional treatment into her sessions including needling and cupping techniques. She is multi-lingual and can speak 3 languages fluently (English, Hindi, Punjabi). She is a mother of 2 young kids and love spending most of time with them. View details »
Karen has a varied and extensive 25 year career in sports massage that includes both human and equine specialist massage therapy. She was both horse and rider massage therapist for New Zealand's first ever World Championship Gold Medal in the sport of endurance riding in 1998 and then again at the 2000 Sydney Olympics with New Zealand's sole representative Dressage rider. Since then she has continued with massage therapy, alongside working for Air New Zealand, running a busy equestrian based property, and continuing to ride and compete herself alongside her husband and daughter.
Her unique mix of skills, training and and experience, as well as continuing to ride and compete, gives her a unique insight into patient needs and therapies.
