Lisa is a New Zealand registered Physiotherapist, originally from California. She graduated from AUT with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy in 2022, and has 18 years of experience combined in the athletic training and sport science industry in the USA and NZ. She has worked with youth, adult club, professional, Olympic athletes, and tertiary education in a sport science context. Her prior qualifications include: Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/Athletic Training (2005), Master of Science in Sports Biomechanics (2008), and Doctor of Philosophy in Sport & Exercise (2013).
Lisa is passionate about providing a comprehensive physiotherapy service to enhance day to day function of those in the local community to help people re-engage with lifestyle, work, or fitness goals following injury. Lisa’s physiotherapy style combines manual therapy with exercise prescription and patient education toward self-management and prevention of injury reoccurrence. She is experienced in return-to-work contracts, gym-based functional rehabilitation, falls prevention, and Careway contracts.
