Since 2022, Kacey has represented New Zealand in sprint kayaking at World Championships. Balancing study, training, and international competition has given him valuable experience and a unique perspective on high performance. His time training alongside World and Olympic athletes has shaped his understanding of the body, recovery, and performance.
