Qualifications: Bachelor of Physiotherapy, University of Otago 2017
Biography: after graduating I worked at the School of Physiotherapy Clinics in Dunedin as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist and as a Clinical Educator, supervising physiotherapy students on their clinical placements. In those 3 years working in an acute sports injury clinic I treated a variety of injuries from rugby, basketball, netball and football. I returned back home to Christchurch in 2020 and brought with me a wealth of knowledge. I currently work at the Riccarton and University of Canterbury sites. I have worked for the last 2 years as the physio for the NZ under17 Mens Basketball team
Clinical interests: Return to sport/fitness rehab, Strength &Conditioning, Knee and ankle injuries. With my experience with National level basketball teams I know how important it is to fully rehabilitate injuries to return to top level performance. I take this attitude with all my patients.
Hobbies/interests: Basketball, gym, travel, spending time with friends and family
Why you love being a physio/part of the team: Love meeting new people from all walks of life and having the opportunity to help people return to function and reach their goals. Working alongside the university students gives me the opportunity to assist young adults on their journey – from top level sports people to those just wanting to get fit for the first time.View details »
