Biography: after graduating I worked at the School of Physiotherapy Clinics in Dunedin as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist and as a Clinical Educator, supervising physiotherapy students on their clinical placements. In those 3 years working in an acute sports injury clinic I treated a variety of injuries from rugby, basketball, netball and football. I returned back home to Christchurch in 2020 and brought with me a wealth of knowledge. I currently work at the Riccarton and University of Canterbury sites. I have worked for the last 2 years as the physio for the NZ under17 Mens Basketball team
Clinical interests: Return to sport/fitness rehab, Strength &Conditioning, Knee and ankle injuries. With my experience with National level basketball teams I know how important it is to fully rehabilitate injuries to return to top level performance. I take this attitude with all my patients.
Hobbies/interests: Basketball, gym, travel, spending time with friends and family
Why you love being a physio/part of the team: Love meeting new people from all walks of life and having the opportunity to help people return to function and reach their goals. Biography: Born and breed in Christchurch before studying at Otago University. On graduating 2 years ago, I joined the team at You First Physio. I have been the Physiotherapist for the New Brighton Rugby Club Premier team and also play for the same team.
Clinical interests: Knee and shoulder rehabilitation, post-operative rehabilitation, sport-related injuries, ACL rehabilitation
Hobbies/interests: I keep very physically active outside of work, enjoy family time and getting outdoors!
Why you love being a physio/part of the team: Empowering people to achieve their rehabilitation goals. Meeting new people on a daily basis and ensuring they receive the high quality, person-focused care that they deserve. I am passionate about embracing exercise prescription for long term health and function, but also use a variety of manual therapy techniques within my sessions.

Why you love being a physio/part of the team: I enjoy getting to know different people in different walks of life and understanding their identity and culture. As a physio, I get the opportunity to talk to and empathise with patients and understand how an injury could not only can affect one physically, but in also other areas of their life.
