Mrs Karen Alderson
Physiotherapist
Karen is an experienced physiotherapist with postgraduate qualifications in back pain, sports injuries, work injuries and joint problems. She is a member of NZ Society of Physiotherapists, Sports Physiotherapy NZ and NZ Manipulative Physiotherapy Association. She has worked in the public hospital system and private practice, holding management and clinical roles. Through her extensive musculoskeletal experience Karen has gained excellent skills in manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, joint mobilisations, spinal techniques, muscle imbalance and exercise prescription. With ongoing professional development she keeps up to date with research and new techniques, and puts these into practise each day treating clients. Karen has worked as physiotherapist and manager in many sports teams across all age groups including having worked as Physiotherapist at Avondale College for seven years. She is passionate about helping people enhance their lives through physical wellness and always strives to provide the best treatment tailored to each individual.
