Annika graduated with an Occupational Therapy Diploma in Germany. She worked in neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation, as well as pain management focused on upper limb and hand rehabilitation for nearly seven years. She moved to New Zealand in 2016 and began working at TBI Health shortly after providing services in our vocational rehabilitation and hand therapy teams. Annika has a keen interest in musculoskeletal and neurological conditions of the hand and upper limb such as post-operative rehabilitation, functional restoration, and activity adaptation for everyday living and at work. Outside of work, Annika has a keen interest in mountain biking and hiking and enjoys exploring New Zealand.

Shontal graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and has returned home to the Wellington region to work for TBI Health. Having come from a sporting background, she has a particular interest in exercise prescription for strength and conditioning. Shontal aims to enable patients to feel self-empowered throughout their rehabilitation journey so they leave feeling stronger than they were pre-injury. She has experience working with the University of Canterbury Women’s Rugby team and Petone Football Club as the team physiotherapist. Outside of clinic hours, Shontal enjoys tramping, weight-training at the gym and finding any excuse to head into the great outdoors. View details »
David graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Otago. He has developed a particular interest in sports rehabilitation, persistent pain management and pre and post-operative joint replacement rehabilitation. He also works as the physiotherapist for Team Wellington Football Club. Outside of work David has a keen interest in sport and plays football for Island Bay United FC. View details »
