Lachlan has completed 5 years study at Otago University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Bachelor of Physiotherapy before moving to Hawke’s Bay and hasn’t looked back. He has experience in private practice, working with people from all different walks of life, helping athletes at sports tournaments and looking after local premier rugby teams. Lachlan believes that an active lifestyle is a huge part of overall well-being. Practice what you preach they say! Lachlan has a keen interest in endurance sports from running, cycling (mountain biking and road) to swimming, as well as a bit of work in the gym on the side. As a Physio, being able to facilitate engagement in physical activity and helping people be gain confidence to move is something he finds very rewarding. Sophia has completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at AUT and is currently studying a Post Graduate Diploma of Sports and Exercise Medicine at Otago University. She has recently moved from the sunny Hibiscus Coast in Auckland, where she worked with everyone from the enthusiastic to the elite across a wide variety of sports in a busy private practice clinic. She has a particular interest in load management and youth injuries, as well as post-surgical rehabilitation and general injury management. Using a variety of techniques including manual therapy and dry needling, alongside tailored exercise prescription, Sophia is keen to help you gain a better understanding of your injury and provide the tools required to optimise your rehabilitation journey. She is passionate about tailored exercise prescription and assisting individuals returning to sport and their favourite activities. She thinks it is important for individuals to take control of their rehabilitation while she is there to provide education and guidance throughout the process.
