Matias was born in Santiago, Chile but arrived in New Zealand in 1987 where he grew up in Wellington before joining the New Zealand Army in 2002 and finally ending up in Auckland 2009. Matias has been practicing physiotherapy for over 10 years He founded Viva Physiotherapy in 2016 out of a room at The Doctors, Golf Rd where his wife was practicing as a GP.
