Kirsten joined the Active+ Mt Eden team in June 2023, having previously worked at Active+ Howick and Highbrook. She graduated from AUT in 2010, and gained her Masters Degree in Sports Physiotherapy in 2014. Kirsten has worked in NZ and Australia in the areas of community and private practice physiotherapy. Katie is one of the newest faces at Active+ Mt Eden, bringing over 10 years of hands-on experience in the healthcare world! A skilled physiotherapist, Katie works across both private and ACC-funded contracts, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and sporting injuries. She has a special interest in low back pain, functional rehab, and injury prevention — areas she continues to grow her expertise in. Her passion for learning recently led to her honours research on low back pain being published in an international peer-reviewed journal and presented at the 2024 PNZ Conference! Katie is deeply committed to making healthcare equitable, accessible, and compassionate for everyone in the community.
