Chitra graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2002 from India. After working in India for 5 years, she moved to South Africa and worked there for 16 years. During these years, she gained extensive experience in treating patients with a wide range of orthopaedic & musculoskeletal injuries, post traumatic stiffness and post operative orthopaedic rehabilitation in clinic, hospital and community settings.
In late 2024, she immigrated to New Zealand with her husband and two children.
Chitra's professional goal is to improve the quality of life of her patients by improving their functional independence and community participation through rehabilitation. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, singing and dancing.
