Ms Emma McDermott
Physiotherapist
Emma is a highly experienced physiotherapist, having practised for 19+ years in both the UK and New Zealand. Emma has broad expertise to help clients with a range of conditions including vertigo and dizziness (vestibular conditions); breathing symptoms such as sputum production and problems such as COPD (respiratory conditions); concussion and musculoskeletal problems. Emma leads the ACC Integrated Care Pathway (ICP) for Align Health and is the lead Navigator for clients on this pathway. Emma has completed a Master of Professional Practice at Wintec. Her research project focussed on recruitment and retention of physiotherapists in rural New Zealand. Emma has a passion for delivering and promoting quality in Physiotherapy. She is involved with professional development, mentoring and training for the developing physiotherapy team members. Outside of the clinic, Emma enjoys the outdoors and scenery of the Mighty Waikato.
