Alex graduated from the University of East Anglia, UK and initially gained experience in both neurological rehabilitation and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Her own participation in various sports prompted an interest in biomechanics and sports rehabilitation. Alex spent time working with triathlon, cycling and kayaking clubs in the UK where a big focus was sports specific strengthening and injury prevention. She enjoys working with clients to facilitate their return to sport post injury as well as working towards improving performance. Over the last year she has attended specialist courses for shoulder rehabilitation and she is looking forward to pursuing this further in attempt to improve treatment and outcomes for our clients with shoulder injuries. Alex moved to Queenstown in 2015 to make the most of the great outdoors and all that the area has to offer. Nick is an ex-Wakatipu High School student and long-time Queenstown local. He graduated with a Master in Physiotherapy Studies from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2009. Since graduating, Nick has worked in orthopaedic and sports injury clinics in both New Zealand and Canada, most recently in Banff. He is driven to provide an exceptional standard of care, which led to completing a Master in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2016. Nick has a strong evidence-based approach to his clinical practice, remaining up to date with current orthopaedic and sports injury research. Since graduating in 2015, Aoibheann has worked as a rotational physiotherapist in the NHS in the UK, followed by orthopaedic rehab in the leading centre of elective surgery in Ireland. She developed a passion for musculoskeletal sports physiotherapy while working in private practice and with a variety of football and county hurling teams. Aoibheann strives to return people promptly to their passions through manual therapy, strength and conditioning training and functional movement assessments. Aoibheann completed her additional qualification in Pilates in 2017. She teaches a variety of Pilates classes and conducts individual sessions with clients. When not in work, Aoibheann can be found on the football pitch playing Gaelic Football. Snow-chaser Hilary started out her career working throughout Europe, NZ and Canada as a Ski Technician. Here was where she was introduced to the mechanics of the human body, as she used biomechanics to customise ski boots to fit each individual client. In 2009, Hilary returned to her hometown Brighton, to study at the University of Brighton where she gained a BSc (Hons)Physiotherapy degree. Since qualifying, Hilary worked as a rotational Physiotherapist for the NHS and after finding her passion for MSK physio with a sports focus, became the lead physiotherapist at local rugby club, Hove RFC. She continues to work closely with a variety of sports, working with teams and individuals. This involves pitch-side management, rehab post injury and on-going strength and conditioning programmes.
