We’re excited to welcome our newest team member, Hannes, and proud to finally offer podiatry services to our Bodyworks community.
A recent AUT graduate, Hannes is currently completing a Masters in Sports and Exercise Science, and has worked locally with Anna Dawes (Kerikeri Podiatry) and Kim Drummond (Whangarei Foot Clinic) — both familiar names to many, as both have previously practised out of Bodyworks.
Originally from South Africa, Hannes moved to Kerikeri with his family just before beginning his podiatry studies at AUT in 2023. It was a rugby injury that first sparked his interest in podiatry, after he experienced how effective it was in his own recovery. This led to a strong passion for biomechanics, and he’s become particularly skilled at crafting custom orthotics for his patients.
Despite juggling study, work, and orthotic building, Hannes still finds time to stay active. When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find him outdoors — playing rugby, surfing, hunting, running, or at the gym. View details »
