My main interest areas are sports and exercise rehabilitation, complex sport injuries and spinal injuries.
I have been working in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy for over 10 years and have spent the vast majority of my career working in High Performance Cricket at both National and International level. Cricket is a sport with its own set of complex injuries which I am very passionate about, both injury prevention and rehabilitation that is unique to the sport.
Working with fast bowlers, around loading and bone stress injury is also of particular interest to me. Understanding the mechanics of the bowling action and how volume and loading can be used to both prevent injury but also to safely rehabilitate athletes back to performance.
I have also been fortunate enough to work alongside Hamilton Boys High School 1st XV Rugby and help shape the athletic development and injury prevention within their program over the past three seasons.
I take a holistic view on sporting injuries and believe that sports specific rehabilitation including sport specific movement should be an integral part of rehab and return to sport and performance. I am excited to bring this service to the Waikato community. Working out of Seddon Park and having access to some incredible facilities.
