Alexis Dispenziere
Book Alexis for all ACC & Private Physio and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. Alexis studied physical therapy and earned a doctorate degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA). In between classes and labs, she continued her passion for dancing with the university’s dance ensemble, and went on to perform with a Bollywood/Indian fusion group post-graduation. She uses her love of movement, mind-body connection, and rhythmic coordination to help her patients build not only physical autonomy but also internal power. While Alexis integrates yoga principles such as breathing techniques and balance to treat musculoskeletal and pelvic impairments, she is very much looking forward to adding the brilliance of Pilates into her practice. Alexis is passionate about working with her patients to achieve their goals, all while laughing together through the sessions. She is more than thrilled to have moved to New Zealand and is always interested in activity or restaurant recommendations. When Alexis is not at the clinic, she will be adventuring with her partner through tramping, kayaking, or mountain biking. Ms Jane Connell
Physiotherapist
Jane looks after all General Physiotherapy & Pilates needs including ACC & Private. She has a special interest in helping with hip & leg rehab and works closely with several Orthopaedic surgeons in this area. Jane is passionate about helping people maintain and pursue health and fitness through all stages of their life. After studying Phys Ed at the University of Otago Jane headed to the University of Queensland to complete a Post Graduate Masters in Physiotherapy Studies. With a continued desire to keep learning she recently completed post graduate papers in musculoskeletal rehabilitation through the University of Otago and is also trained in DMA Clinical Pilates. Her strong sporting background and love of physical activity has led her to work with representative sports teams which has developed a special interest in pelvic control and lower limb injuries and rehabilitation. Recently, Jane was the clinical lead for a Ministry of Health pilot program for osteoarthritis patients of the hip or knee. Jane strives to deliver a high standard of care for all her patients combining manual therapy, functional exercise based rehabilitation and Clinical Pilates. View details »
