Jacki Piper qualified as a physiotherapist from the Otago School of Physiotherapy in 1969 and went on to do a post graduate diploma in manipulative physiotherapy in the early eighties. Since then Jacki has attended post graduate courses on a continuing basis for the benefit of her clients who receive the most appropriate and up to date treatment. She started her own physiotherapy practice in Titirangi in the early eighties and sold in 2002 during which time as well as doing “hands on” musculoskeletal and rehabilitation physiotherapy she was the physiotherapist for a national league men’s basketball team. For the last ten years as well as doing “hands on” physiotherapy she has been doing gym based rehabilitation for ACC clients who have either loss of physical function or chronic pain as their main problem.
Jacki is passionate about keeping physically fit doing the activities she enjoys and is keen to help other people do the same. Her main recreational activities are kite surfing, trail bike riding and stand up paddleboarding—more occasionally windsurfing, mountain biking, kayaking, running, tramping, skiing, wakeboarding and fishing.
