Cherie graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Otago in 2011. Cherie has worked across a variety of areas of Physiotherapy - private musculoskeletal practise, inpatient rehabilitation, and acute inpatient care at the Christchurch Public Hospital prior to specialising in Hand Therapy and the management of upper limb injuries. It was during her time working at Christchurch Public Hospital she developed an interest for working in Hand Therapy whilst working on the Burns and Plastic Surgery ward and Hand Therapy outpatients. Cherie then specialised in upper limb rehabilitation for 5 years in a leading Melbourne Hand Therapy private practice where she gained expertise in treating and managing a magnitude of upper limb injuries alongside surgeons and specialist prior to moving home to New Zealand and joining the Intouch Hand Therapy team.
Cherie loves working alongside individuals to return to function and sport and has a special interest in treating elbow and shoulder injuries as well as scar management.
