Merlin is the co-owner and director of M and N Physio, as well as a proud husband to Nishantha and a busy dad to two wonderful children. With nearly two decades of experience, Merlin brings a deep level of expertise and care to his practice. He successfully ran a private physiotherapy clinic in South Africa for 13 years before bringing his skills to Aotearoa.
Merlin holds extensive training in dry needling, vestibular and vision rehabilitation, cervical spine and concussion management, and GLAD (Good Life with osteoArthritis: Denmark) training for osteoarthritis care. He currently works in a dual role at Health NZ Whanganui as an Advanced Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist, collaborating closely with the local orthopaedic surgical team.
Merlin blends the best of both worlds in his treatment approach—combining effective “old school” hands-on techniques such as massage, joint and soft tissue mobilization, and manipulations with modern “new school” strategies like exercise-based rehabilitation, condition education, and self-management techniques.
