After gaining diverse experience in Physiotherapy across various departments at Wellington Regional Hospital, I found my true passion when I joined the Hand Therapy team. It was here that I discovered the perfect blend of my love for working with people and my creative inclinations. Since 2020, I have worked in private practice and completed further study. Hand Therapy not only allows me to support clients through their hand and upper limb injuries, but also serves as a creative outlet for me through custom splint making and innovative problem-solving. I consider it a privilege to assist clients on their journey to recovery, offering them the expertise and compassionate care they deserve. Outside of work, I indulge in my personal interests, including crochet, which allows me to express my creativity in another form. I am excited to join the team here in Nelson after working for one and a half years in Hand Therapy in Wellington. My knowledge and experience is based on pain management, restoring function, and improving the overall quality of life for patients with upper extremity injuries. I achieve these through a range of activities, including prescribed exercise programmes, splinting, scar management, heat therapy, Kinesio-taping, functional retraining, rehabilitation and education.
