Senior Physiotherapist Catherine Gambaro studied physiotherapy at AUT then completed post-graduate studies at the University of Otago, gaining a Diploma in Manipulative Therapy and Certificate in Acupuncture. Having completed numerous specialty courses and with 20 years of experience, Catherine has developed a diverse range of skills and applies current knowledge and the latest research to her practice. Catherine enjoys treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and pain conditions. She is driven by seeing people achieve their goals, whether it be returning to sport, getting back to work, or experiencing pain free living. Catherine is a fully qualified Yoga and Pilates instructor and offers one on one Pilates classes. As a PINC cancer rehabilitator Catherine provides treatment and rehabilitation to West Auckland women recovering from cancer surgery and treatment. Catherine understands the importance of functional strength, flexibility and the importance of healthy alignment and optimal breathing for an effective and functional core. Catherine has been trained to use ultrasound imaging to achieve optimal core muscle contraction. She is an advocate of hands-on treatment and incorporates manual therapy, massage, dry needling / acupuncture, taping and Pilates to achieve the quickest and best recovery. Catherine has completed Watson Headache training through the Watson Headache® Institute, and joins Nicky in providing effective long term treatment of headache and migraine.

Nicky is the Director and owner of New Lynn Physiotherapy, a Senior Physiotherapist with more than 25 years of physiotherapy experience.
She has a post graduate qualification in manipulative physiotherapy.
Her main areas of specialty are wide and include muscle balance assessment and postural alignment, migraine and headache treatment, running injuries, gym rehabilitation following surgery and management of pain and injury during pregnancy.
Nicky is also a certified provider of the PINC programme, providing physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation for women recovering from cancer in West Auckland.
Nicky’s interest in health and fitness has given her a greater understanding of injury and rehabilitation. Nicky enjoys getting great results from hands-on treatment, dry needling technique, exercise prescription, and kinesio taping.
More recently Nicky has trained at the Watson Headache® Institute, she is a Level 3 certified practitioner for the Watson Headache® Approach, a protocol for the skilled assessment and management of the upper cervical (neck) spine in headache and migraine conditions.
Nicky has also been an advocate for sport and fitness, having been involved in national level athletics as a youth. She has always trained and kept fit and now enjoys orienteering. Her three teenage children keep her busy with their activities outside of work, and her love of travel and adventure is still strong. View details »
