LEAD PHYSIO - Julia has over 10 years’ clinical experience as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist. With her thirst for knowledge and research, Julia is dedicated to helping her patients understand their injuries and reach their goals. She has an extensive background in sports physiotherapy and has travelled throughout New Zealand with representative netball and rugby teams, as well as a brief stint treating international rugby teams (NZ and South Africa) and World Cup referees. Previously, she has played hockey and competed horses.
Julia’s passion is Veterinary Physiotherapy, and she obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in 2016. She went on to complete her master’s degree with distinction from Liverpool University (UK), in conjunction with Massey University (NZ) in 2021. She really enjoys working with riders and strongly believes in achieving the most harmonious horse/rider dynamic possible.
Outside of work, Julia loves being a mum to her son and enjoys spending time with family and friends, music, reading, and the odd bit of hiking and horse-riding when time permits. View details »
Laura is our resident Sports Nutritionist and Personal Trainer at Physio Mechanics. She has a huge passion for exercise and nutrition and loves helping people achieve and sustain their health and wellness goals.
Laura also competes in bodybuilding competitions, meaning that in her free time, you will usually find her at the gym, or going on runs. Laura is a Pukekohe local, and enjoys living in a small town where everyone is super friendly. View details »
Jens is originally from Germany, but studied Chiropractic in Auckland at the world-renowned New Zealand College of Chiropractic (NZCC).
Since graduating, he is grateful to have worked with many individuals and families to improve and enhance their function, health and wellbeing through chiropractic care. Aside from practice Jens is involved in Chiropractic Research at the Centre for Chiropractic Research as well as lecturing at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.
In recognition of his contribution to the Chiropractic College Jens was awarded the NZAPEP – Student of the Year Award in 2013. At graduation he also recieved awards for excellence in the field of chiropractic research and for high achievement in clinical practice. View details »
