Leonie is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 40 years in the profession. She holds multiple postgraduate qualifications, including a PGCert in Sports Physiotherapy (Netherlands), an Advanced Diploma in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (Auckland), and a PGCert in Occupational Health (Otago). She is a Credentialed McKenzie Therapist, a New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist, and an ACC Endorsed Provider. Leonie’s career spans private practice, hospital settings, and community-based care, including founding and running Blenheim Physiotherapy and working extensively with elite athletes through the New Zealand Academy of Sport.
Her areas of expertise include musculoskeletal physiotherapy—particularly spinal manual therapy—concussion rehabilitation, dizziness and vertigo, sports rehab, vocational rehabilitation, pain management, dry needling, and breathing techniques.
