I graduated in1989 from the University of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons). After gaining valuable experience in the public sector, I successfully managed my own practice at a private clinic for over 25 years. During that time, I acquired extensive knowledge and skills in treating a wide range of medical conditions, including cardio-respiratory conditions, orthopaedics, acute neurology, multi-trauma and sport related injuries. My vast experience has given me an excellent insight into the entire process of patient care, from diagnosis to final stage rehabilitation. My commitment and perseverance to ensuring that all my clients understand their pain or injury and can heal and sustain their wellness is evident in my work.
In my practice, I utilize a combination of manual therapy and dry needling to complement exercise in treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. I am also a qualified Women’s Health Physiotherapist, providing treatments for conditions such as stress incontinence and a Pain management specialist assisting with understanding persistent pain.
Aside from my professional achievements, I lead a very active lifestyle, regularly participating in endurance events such as the Comrades and the Two Oceans Ultra Marathons in South Africa, summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Taranaki and completing the Tongariro Crossing.
My passion for the outdoors and my family is reflected in my dedication to my patients, as I always seek to help them recover and improve their quality of life.

Hi, I am Shawn and I love my job. I have been a physio for over six years and no two days are the same. I enjoy interacting with my patients and helping them reach their goals in a holistic manner. I enjoy growing as a professional by attending courses and applying myself to the many different facets of physiotherapy. As a result, my patients benefit the most with speedy and efficient recovery, thus allowing them to get back to what they love. I have worked in clinics, retirement homes and private facilities. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, volunteering my time for ‘Big brother’ mentoring, playing the guitar, going to the gym and even being a member of Toastmasters. My long term goal is to be a team leader, physiotherapy mentor and even improve the standard of physiotherapy in New Zealand. View details »
Hi, my name is Tomas and I am a chartered physiotherapist from Ireland. Back in Ireland, I completed a Bachelors degree in Athletic Therapy and Training before completing a post-graduate degree in Physiotherapy in the University of Limerick which I finished in 2021. I have a strong interest in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and love to help people of all ages and sizes recover from their injury. Before coming to Auckland last year, I previously worked in a private clinic while also gaining over five years of experience working with sports teams and treating sports injuries back in Ireland. I love to promote the use of exercise and I love to educate people on how helpful exercise can be. I also have a post-graduate qualification in Dry Needling Therapy which may help you through your recovery. Outside of physiotherapy, I love to play and follow sports while also fitting in time for hiking, surfing and socializing. View details »
