Ryan graduated with Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Otago University in 2024. His drive to become a Physiotherapist came from his own sporting injuries throughout high school. With this experience behind him he is keen and motivated to help others going through similar experiences and return to their meaningful activity. He is looking forward to enhancing his skill set as a part of the Recovery Room team and having the opportunity to work with the Dunedin community. Outside of work he enjoys playing football, running and spending time with friends and family. View details »
Hi, I'm Jamie
I was born and bred in the small Waikato town of Morrinsville. I graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Otago in 2025, spending my final year of study in Hawkes Bay before returning to Dunedin.
My interest in becoming a physiotherapist began with my love of sport and personal experiences with injury and rehabilitation. I am passionate about helping people move better and return to activities meaningful to them. I bring enthusiasm, resilience, and a strong willingness to learn. I value clear communication, collaborative care and committed to providing inclusive and culturally responsive physiotherapy so every patient feels supported throughout their recovery.
I was drawn to Recovery Room’s belief that everyone deserves an elite athlete level of care and personalized treatment guiding every rehabilitation journey. I value Recovery Room's commitment to supporting Dunedin’s sporting community. Through my clinical placement and sport medic experience I have gained exposure to musculoskeletal and sport injury rehabilitation - areas I am keen to continue developing in as a junior physiotherapist.
When I'm not in the clinic you'll find me at the beach, keeping active, watching, or playing sports and spending time with my friends and family.
