Biography/ Experience: I have enjoyed working in musculoskeletal physiotherapy for 30 years. I initially worked at Christchurch Hospital then spent 3 years in the UK working in various musculoskeletal settings. On returning to NZ I completed a year of post grad study in Dunedin and worked over a period of 15 years at SportsMed in Christchurch where I gained a lot of sports physio experience and worked with various national and regional teams including: NZ Womens Academy and U18 Girls Hockey; Canterbury Mens and Womens Hockey; Netball World Cup and NZ Womens Cricket. Following that I worked in a London sports physiotherapy clinic which specialised in running. On my return to Christchurch I worked in an occupational health physiotherapy role before joining the fantastic team at You First Physio in 2011. Over this time I have continued my professional development by attending numerous courses and conferences
Clinical interests: I have experience in, and enjoy, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. My areas of special interest include: sports injuries, back and neck pain/ injuries, pregnancy and post-natal related back pain, hip pain, and rehabilitation including Pilates. I take our Fit2Function classes at our Riccarton and Longhurst sites.
Why you love being a physio/part of the team: You First Physio is a fantastic place to work and I love being part of a team of people who are motivated and passionate about doing the best for their clients. We are committed to treating every client as an individual and providing the best evidence-based care. The most rewarding part of being a physio for me is connecting with people and helping them achieve their goals.View details »
