Indy graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2023 with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy and is very excited to be starting her Physiotherapy career at Active+ Albany. Her practical experience includes private practice, hospital based, chronic pain and outpatient musculoskeletal. Indy also completed her Reformer Pilates training in 2019 with Polestar NZ and is currently working towards her Pilates Mat training. Indy is passionate about health and wellbeing and believes in a holistic, evidence-based approach with her clients, incorporating education, mindfulness, exercise-based rehabilitation and manual therapy to facilitate them to achieve their goals and optimise their health. Outside of work, Indy enjoys keeping active with horse riding, dog walks, gardening and Pilates. View details »

Viv is an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist with over 25 years of experience in physiotherapy. She holds a Masters in Health Practice specializing in Acupuncture, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy. Her special interests are acupuncture, orthopaedic paediatrics, and sports physio, in particular netball. She has previously worked for many elite netball teams including the Northern Mystics and the England National squad. Along with working at Active+ she also works for NZ Football as the National Physiotherapy Co-ordinator. Viv enjoys being active and plays netball, touch, and runs. View details »

Mr David Houston

Physiotherapist

David graduated from AUT in 2019 with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy and in 2021 completed his post-graduate training in Western Acupuncture, as well as training in MS Get a Head Start and PD Warrior neuro rehab programs. David has a strong background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy management, including side-line injury management and prevention for Massey rugby club, as well as experience working within the community managing a variety of physical conditions. With an emphasis on self-management education, David is passionate about equipping his clients with the tools to minimise risk of further injury and promoting healthy and active lifestyles. David also has a passion for music and hopes to incorporate music therapy into his neuro rehab skill set in the near future. View details »
