Andrea is an accomplished Physiotherapist with experience specialising in neurological rehabilitation and clinical education. She holds a Diploma in Physiotherapy and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science (Health Professional Education).
Andrea began her career in Germany, working across medical, surgical neurology and paediatric settings before moving to New Zealand. She worked as a Senior Neurological Physiotherapist at North Shore Hospital, followed by a decade in community-based rehabilitation. Andrea has also spent time sharing her expertise as a Clinical Educator in Neurology at AUT. Andrea is currently the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist for Neurology at Active+ Albany, where she continues her commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care. Her clinical interests include neurological physiotherapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and clinical education, with extensive experience treating conditions such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), concussion, multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, dizziness and balance disorders, and functional neurological disorder (FND). David is a Physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy from AUT, and postgraduate training in Western Acupuncture. He began his career in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, gaining valuable experience across workplace, community, and sports environments before transitioning into neurological rehabilitation.
Since joining Active+ Albany, David has undertaken ongoing training in neurological assessment and treatment, developing a strong clinical interest in concussion management from both a musculoskeletal and neurological perspective. David places a strong emphasis on client education and self-management, empowering his clients to reduce the risk of future injury while supporting long-term health and active lifestyles.
Outside of work, David is a keen musician and home cook, and has thoroughly enjoyed adapting to his new role as a father. View details »
