Chelsea is a skilled Physiotherapist, primarily in musculoskeletal private practice. Her clinical background also includes work in aged care facilities, and in an acute fracture clinic alongside orthopaedic surgeons. She has experience managing spots injuries, and has worked with teams across hockey, rugby, netball and soccer.
Chelsea holds a range of further qualifications, including APPI Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates training, a PINC Oncology Physiotherapy certification, and dry needling. She has also completed introductory training in women’s health, and holds a FIFA Football Diploma. Her clinical interests include oncology rehabilitation, Pilates-based strengthening, sports injury management, and post-operative rehabilitation for conditions such as ACL injuries, joint replacements, and tendon repairs.

David is a Physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy from AUT, and postgraduate training in Western Acupuncture. He began his career in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, gaining valuable experience across workplace, community, and sports environments before transitioning into neurological rehabilitation.
Since joining Active+ Albany, David has undertaken ongoing training in neurological assessment and treatment, developing a strong clinical interest in concussion management from both a musculoskeletal and neurological perspective. David places a strong emphasis on client education and self-management, empowering his clients to reduce the risk of future injury while supporting long-term health and active lifestyles.

Kate is a highly experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 26 years of clinical practice in both New Zealand and the UK. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, and is a Polestar Pilates practitioner with 18 years of experience integrating clinical Pilates into rehabilitation.
As our clinical lead, Kate brings extensive knowledge and leadership to the team, mentoring colleagues while providing expert care to her clients. She is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve their best through active rehabilitation and a healthy lifestyle. Kate’s key clinical interests include musculoskeletal physiotherapy, clinical Pilates, pain management, and functional rehabilitation for older adults. She is dedicated to keeping up with emerging research in areas such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and menopause. She is also committed to continuing to grow the clinic’s studio Pilates community, while maintaining her own self-practice.
